What beautiful faces and what beautiful eyes! May God bless them all.
I believe that the well-being of our fellow human beings, including that of young children, can be advanced by each of us. It is my considered opinion that doing nothing and seeing the resolution of the human tragedies that we witness around us in our daily lives as being the sole responsibility of the State, is a major intellectual fallacy. We need to be more charitable than we usually are. Have we ever undertaken to help the families of those children who should be sitting on school benches rather than shining our shoes on the corners of the streets of our cities and towns? If the answer to this simple question is "no", then we are failing in our personal obligation towards our fellow human beings. As one Persian thinker once said, we must "be a treasure to the poor". Are we? If not, then we must consider to alter our attitudes and outlooks immediately. States represent the collective will of their respective nations. It follows that our State will continue to fail to protect our needy fellow citizens so long as we, the individuals, fail in our personal responsibilities towards these citizens.
The following report by Mr Shahab Mirzai may inspire us to undertake some charitable work:

-- BF ، Oct 8, 2008Yesterday (October 8, 2008) I submitted a Comment pertaining to the following news item:

which has thus far not been published. I reproduce this Comment here below (this Comment was submitted to Radio Zamaneh some minutes after submitting the Comment that has already been published here above).

The following documentary by Mr Abbas Kiarostami is most revealing of the general condition under which many Iranian children must be living:
http://www.clipser.com/watch_video/512223
It is remarkable that almost all children in this documentary identify the word "tanbih" with physical violence and beating, which is deeply disturbing. This documentary also shows that Mr Kiarostami is undisputably a national, and international, treasure.
I take this opportunity and refer the interested to a related Comment that I have placed just few minutes ago at the following address (naturally, using the same signature as here):

ps) The first definition that Dehkhoda gives for the word
is
