Iranian Ministry lists 60 "enemy" organizations

Iranian Ministry of Intelligence published a list of 60 organizations which the ministry regards active in the “soft war” against the Islamic Republic regime.

Any collaboration with these organizations and media outlets with ties to these organizations is banned by the Iranian government and regarded a crime.

The ministry announced that by identifying the “branches” of these organizations within and outside the country, they have managed to “afford them significant blows” in recent years.

According to Iranian Ministry of Intelligence collaboration with media outlets such as Radio Zamaneh, Radio Farda, Radio Israel, BBC and Voice of America is considered criminal.

Any ties with websites such as Jaras which cover Green Movement news and announcements is also a crime by the ministry.

Satellite Networks such as People’s Mojahedin Organization, Monarchists, Pars, Rangarang, Channel One and other “anti-revolutionary sites” are also included in the ministry’s list of organizations whose collaborators are deemed criminals.

The list also contains the names of Human Rights Watch, Boroumand Foundation, Soros Foundation, Freedom House, Rockefeller Foundation, Carnegie Foundation, Ford Foundation, American Enterprise Institute and Foundation for Democracy in Iran.

Following the protests to the alleged fraud in the June presidential elections that gave Mahmoud Ahmadinejad a new term, the Islamic Republic has repeatedly claimed that foreign powers are attempting to topple the government through a “soft war” or what the Revolutionary Guards referred to as “a velvet revolution.”

The term seems to refer to a gradual infiltration of reformist ideas through the media and culture with an eye on toppling the Islamic Republic.

In response Iranian opposition leaders have repeatedly maintained that their demands are in accordance with the Islamic Republic constitution and they have no desire to change the system.

It is so sad that people are being deceived and manipulated by their own government and their freedom of speech and even thought has been stolen from them. It's just a sign that the government fears what the people would do if the full potential of their intellect were to be released . But people can only be oppressed for so long without rising up their heads and reaching out for freedom. Sooner or later Iran will get it's freedom, and it won't come from help from the USA, it will come from within.
