Mousavi and Karoubi to visit the graves of recent victims

MirHosein Mousavi and Mehdi Kahroubi, the protesting candidates of the presidential elections, “will join the families of the victims of recent events at their graves, to pay homage to their memory.” wrote Ghalam News and Seham News websites. Earlier their application to mark the 40th day since the death of these victims with a commemoration ceremony on Thursday was rejected. In their letter to the Minister of Interior, the reformist candidates had emphasized the ceremony would solely consist of “recitations from the Quran” and “observance of silence.” Karoubi has declared that the bodies of many victims have not yet been returned to their families. Up till now, the authorities have released no reports regarding the identity or investigation of the culprits in the shooting of peaceful demonstrators a month ago.
